January 9th - Last Sunday in Town

Today (Sunday January 9, 2022) we were scheduled to speak in church.  However; we tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, and our quarantine period is not over until tomorrow, so we didn't speak.  The saddest part for us is that our children and grandchildren who were planning on coming to hear us speak were not able to come; and our other children and extended family members who were going to watch it on broadcast were not able to hear from us.  The good news is that all of our children were able to come for Thanksgiving and many were able to come for Christmas and New Years, and we've been able keep in touch with them all via social media and some personal visits.  Everybody has been very good to us.

The Stake President was out of town today, so his first councilor, David Pulsipher, came to our home and set us apart tonight.  He knew we were coming off of COVID, but was fine with it.  We wore masks and kept our distance.  Tomorrow we begin two days of online training from the MTC in Provo.
