E-bikes in Rudersheimer

As always, remember to see Nancy's emails for more details.

Spring has sprung in Germany.  Pink, white, and yellow blossoms are popping out everywhere. Daffodils are also springing up in random places.  It's nice.

On Saturday, we went to Rudersheimer about an hour from Frankfurt to go bike riding with some friends from the mission.  We road 28 miles.  Full disclosure . . . they were E-bikes.  I think we're sold.  We had a great time.  We rode from Redersheimer to a little town called Bad Kreuznach.  We had lunch outside by the river in Bad Kreuznach, walked aroung the old town area, and then rode back to Rudersheier.  As part of the ride, we took a ferry across the Rhine River and back.  We rode through the countryside and enjoyed hills and hills of grape vinyards.

Work on the structuring of help for the Ukrainian refugees continues.  We are beginning to see the fruits of the planning and organizing of the last couple of weeks.  There are always hickups, and opportunities to improve, but overall it is working and people's lives are being blessed.  It is amazing to see how fast offering funds and humanitarian aid funds are being used.

We played pickleball tonight.  It felt good after a long day.

Here are some pictures:

Us, getting lots of sun with the Rhine behind us.  If you look close, you can see a castle in the background.

Rudersheimer and grape vinyards

After the bike ride, we had fancy ice cream and then walked around the narrow cobblestone streets.

Waiting for a lost rider.

A famous, charming street in Rudersheimer with restaurants and shops.
